I invite you to join me on my journey as a writer of fiction, non-fiction, short stories, and poetry.
My current plunge into these refreshing and sometimes murky waters began in early 2010. I studied creative writing with Young Adult author Jessica Warman and followed up with her in a writer's critique group. My appreciation for the support of that group and my current proofreaders—Jennifer, Irene, Darlene and author Karen Kubicko is immeasurable.
My passion for reading has been a lifelong pleasure. It began in elementary school where I bought every book my meager allowance would afford, read them immediately and waited impatiently for the next flyer. I checked the mailbox daily, waiting for the most current issues of our monthly magazine subscriptions (I simply loved Young Miss. Thanks, Mom!).
Looking back, I realize my interest in the supernatural began at that time as well. One book which has remained prominent in my memory is The Ghost Rock Mystery by Mary C. Jane (as an adult, I found a signed, first edition—on Ebay, of course). For over 25 years I have studied the paranormal, collecting file drawers full of articles, books, notes and other forms of resource material. I have also been involved in paranormal investigating for over 10 years and have had many personal experiences. My menu bar is full of favorites.
In 2000, I obtained first level Reiki training which has afforded me hands-on experience working with energy fields. In 2008 I earned a certificate in The History of Spiritualism from the Morris Pratt Institute, and have attended many workshops and conferences along the way. In 2015, I became a certified hypnotherapist, focusing on past life regression.
I draw upon these fields of study and personal experiences, life, and family for inspiration in my writing.
